Mr. Maaz, our government comprises of a mixture of 90% corrupt and remaining inefficient politicians and these people have no vision or intent to do anything else other than two things, 1) make money and wealth for heir family and 2) maintain vote bank. In India the vote bank largely is maintained by raking up communal and divisive issues than development agenda and so there is no strategic planning to tap the enormous tourism potential of a diverse country like India. It can be a much bigger forex earner than IT and unlike IT the benefits will percolate to the lowest strata of the society. The first thing the government should do is to scrap ITDC which was floated to host politicians and their families and concubines in the hotels and resorts at taxpayer's money.
