NDTV Good Times partners with Pakistan's Geo TV for India's biggest food reality show FOODISTAN! New Delhi, February 1, 2012: NDTV Good Times, India's first premium lifestyle channel which announced India's biggest food reality show – Foodistan has tied up with Geo TV to telecast the show in Pakistan. Foodistan, a battle for culinary supremacy between India and Pakistan premiered on January 23rd in India and has a total of 16 professional chefs, 8 chefs from each country representing their country's rich and exquisite cuisine. The show will go on-air on February 11th in Pakistan at 7 PM (PKT) and will be telecast bi-weekly, every Saturday and Sunday.

Hosted by the very charming Ira Dubey and the extremely talented Aly Khan, the 26 part series has an esteemed panel of judges that include Vir Sanghvi, eminent food critic, avid traveller and gourmand at heart, Sonya Jehan, Bollywood actress of French-Pakistani descent and Merrilees Parker, popular British celebrity chef and presenter.

Talking about the tie-up with Geo TV, Atul Seth, Vice President - Development, NDTV Lifestyle says,"Geo TV is the largest and most respected network in Pakistan hence we decided to partner with them for Foodistan. Very soon the show will be available for the viewers in Pakistan as well. NDTV Good Times' association with Geo TV has been great so far; right now it's only about them showcasing our content but eventually we might look at a bigger partnership."

The 16 chefs on the show will share mouth-watering recipes complementing their cooking skills, bringing on the show their valuable culinary experience. The show aims to give a sneak-peak into the lifestyles and food traditions of India and Pakistan, while keeping intact the competitive spirit.

Talking about Foodistan and the tie-up with NDTV Good Times, Imran Aslam, President Geo TV says, "Both the countries, India and Pakistan have taste buds that have been nourished over the centuries, we share a common passion for the aroma, the exquisite texture, the palette of colours and the distinctive flavours of the dishes that adorn our dastarkhawn. NDTV Good Times is beamed directly across international markets such as US, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Maldives. Content from NDTV Lifestyle is played not only across several ethnic, third party platforms in Africa, Middle East & Europe but also on the mainline lifestyle channels like The Wedding TV in UK. The Channel is present across all major analogue cable markets & all six DTH platforms in India. It is also available on emerging new media platforms (VOD/IPTV) across the country like Big Flix and My Way.

Foodistan airs Monday-Wednesday, 9:30 PM (IST) on NDTV Good Times in India and will air on Saturday and Sunday, February 11th onwards at 7 PM (PKT) on Geo TV in Pakistan.
