The SEXY Debate: Are Indian men more uncomfortable when a girl is called Sexy?

Suddenly all women's rights NGO have started slamming Mamata Sharma after she remarked that women should not consider 'sexy" as offensive, probably these NGOs who do very little practically on ground for women's rights found the occasion a rare opportunity to proclaim feminism and denounce the chairperson of National Commission for Women's comment.

In today's context, the word also means smart, beautiful and charming than just sexually enticing but it would be also a lie if we don't admit that beauty is related with sex appeal. When a guy is called sexy, it is perfect and he has no issue with the adjective but then why when the same adjective is showered on a female with the same intent, it is expected that the woman will consider the praise as vulgar.

It is also very mean to attack Mamata Sharma just because she made the remark as the word is heavily used in movies, music and page three where no one has called for its ban.

The real problem lies somewhere else, actually Indian men are not comfortable when their wives or girlfriends are called sexy, they just want their woman of love to be locked up in home and probably under a purdah. They want to take off heir shirt at any opportunity to show the six packs or the eight packs but cannot digest the word sexy for their women. Oh God! When will our society grow up!

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR?

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them. There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms.

It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of Mirror we are looking at?

CONDUCT THIS SIMPLE TEST:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! (There may be someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do.

This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.

Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

Teach Me How to Dougie Rapper M-Bone Slain In California

The Legendary rapper M-Bone of the rap group Cali Swag District, which scored a hit last year with the song "Teach Me How to Dougie," was killed in a weekend drive-by shooting as he sat in a car outside a liquor store in California.

Cali Swag District's hit "Teach Me How to Dougie" is based on the "Dougie" dance, which first appeared in Texas and is noted for its leaning stances, shoulder and arm movements.

The dance was not only performed in dance clubs and the streets but by celebrities as well, from CNN news anchor Wolf Blitzer to Washington Wizards basketball star John Wall; even first lady Michelle Obama recently performed the dance as part of her "Let's Move" initiative to counter childhood obesity.

"Teach Me How to Dougie" spent several months in the top 10 of Billboard's hot rap songs. The group also performed the dance on several television shows. It was certified platinum in the United States.

Delhi Commonwealth Games Most Likely to be Called Off

After the Commonwealth Games Federation head has demanded the Indian government take immediate steps to improve conditions at the athletes' village in Delhi, a foot bridge in the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium has collapsed injuring 23 laborers, 5 of whom are in a critical condition.

In the latest embarrassment for organisers of Delhi's Commonwealth Games, delegates from four teams described the games village accommodation as filthy, unhygienic and unfit for human habitation.

The Games village made up of several blocks of high-rise luxury flats for the athletes was meant to be the event's showpiece as Suresh Kalmadi, had earlier said it would be better than the village at the Beijing Olympics. But after this report by the delegates of foreign teams, I feel that there is high likelihood that the games will be called off.

The main stadium also suffered an setback today after the foot bridge collapse and it is clear that the politicians looted the money without doing anything and simply putting the country into shame.

We should all follow the call of Chetan Bhagat, who has appealed to all young people to boycott the games totally and expose the corrupt politicians and teach them a lesson.

This is a big opportunity for us and PLEASE BOYCOTT THE GAMES TOTALLY - DON'T VISIT - DON'T TURN ON YOUR TV - DON'T TALK ABOUT IT.

Neena Malhotra - a true representative of Indian Educated Women

It is so shameful that an IFS officer who was posted in New York has been charged for enslavement of a young girl who is also incidentally an Indian.

Shanti Gurung has sued her former employer who is currently Director, Southern Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, for harassment and enslavement.

This is the true picture of our so called educated and enlightened women who are themselves at the forefront of abuse of women who are less privileged and coming from a weaker economic background.

Shanti says in her lawsuit that she was "essentially kidnapped" from India in 2006 at age 17 and was ordered to give daily massages and perform other chores.

The suit filed on Thursday says Gurung was held in involuntary servitude for more than three years by Malhotra and her husband, Jogesh. The lawsuit seeking unspecified damages says Gurung, now 21, was paid only $ 120 over 40 months. She was alsos made to work 16 hours in a day without holidays and she was often refused food and had to sleep on the floor. Neena Malhotra took away her passport and she was almost held a prisoner at the couple's house in New York.

As expected, there was no comment from Malhotra, or the Ministry of External Affairs or Consulate General of India in Manhattan.

What a shame! What is the point of these symbolism that our president is a woman, or the speaker of the lower house is woman when women are abused liked slaves by the educated and elite class.

What do you think will happen to Neena Malhotra? I think, nothing.

Admanyacs Reshuffled?

Once upon a time Ranger used to be the lone ranger in Admanya but now the times have changed. Today it's only one slot (most visits) that ranger is holding and all have been conquered by others.

The influence of ranger and derebail on Admanay forum is not like before and new members like aaryesdee, maaz_nawaz and nashbloom are currently hogging the limelight. It is good to see the reshuffle although we miss some of our old freinds like horrified_harihar, chemical sister, bharti and lovebug whose vacuum can't really be filled.

I feel the Admanya's policy of AOM is a bit flawed, you cannot bar someone winning successively and that had dampened the spirit of derebail and others because I don't see why a AOM winner will be debarred for the next 3 months! Could you ban Brazil for winning again the world cup? It is like that. I hope the management will reconsider the decision.

The task ahead for the new opinion leaders of Admanya to maintain the quality and spirit of free speech which is the hallmark of this portal.

I wrote about my views on Admanya Cash but I also understand the view point of Admanya management and I think the new contests which were being announced makes sense. But these rules should be highlighted. The new users or the users who don't visit regularly cannot see the contests running and they will not participate, so please highlight them and then it is good for everyone.

Apart from AOM and AOY, some members have contributed a lot through their expert knowledge (and sometimes by very controversial blogs) but nevertheless, it helped the community to reach the state as it is in now. So Admanya should think of some recognition for these members who could not win AOM for some technical or other reasons but regularly contributed and enriched the forum.

As cosmicbomber has finished writing 99 blogs, we are excited and equally scared what would be the 100th one! But let's give him a big applause for his contribution with lots of information even though a majority may fall under a certain category :) At least we never were bored for a minute.

If you ask me why I still come back to Admanya after almost leaving the community for good... my answer is I find very little crap in Admanya content, this is something which is the best part of the community. And it is open for everyone to express themselves.... so even when we fight we don't get dirty, we fight with reason and respect the others viewpoints.

I am looking to see a lot of action in future and really feel proud that I joined Admanya.

Lets shuffle the cards everyday and who knows who will get the aces.
