Solution for India's Dwindling Tiger Population - Who is responsible? As many as 11 tigers were killed in the country in the first two months of this year declared our country's Environment Minister, Shri Jairam Ramesh today in the upper house of the parliament. So it takes the tiger population even below the official figures of 1,411 but the Sonia Maino's government is hardly embarrassed.

Ramesh who is always good with numbers detailed out that five tigers were killed in various tiger reserves in the country in January and February while six were killed during the same period in forests.

The minister went on adding without slightest guilt that probably 66 big cats were killed in the country last year and at least 17 out of them due to poaching.

His statistics were very detailed, they read, 46 were killed inside tiger reserves while 20 were killed in forests.

Ramesh was very much in his elements, he is always hailed as a witty man and never leaves to crack a joke, so at the end of the session he added some humour to the tragic news, he told the house about the steps taken by his ministry for protection and conservation of tigers in the country.

Thank you sir! Thank you Sonia Maino!

The poor PM came live few years back in national prime time vouching to stop the killing but that was one of the many scripts that this professor of economic have to read.

The only solution that can happen for the tiger is to hand them over to some other countries like Thailand or may be Indonesia which has got a similar habitat for these most magnificent creatures, otherwise it is not too far that the World would be without tigers.

A corrupt nation lead by an Italian cannot protect even its citizens, let alone tigers.

Welcome back, Singh Ji, cascading kudos for this wonderful piece, the Chinese are heavily after tiger testicles which they think will cure their ED problems and we Indians are supplying our Chinese brothers by poaching. I also wrote a blog on the tiger articles, Admanyacs may read it.
